How do you collect an indoor air sample using your Scan4Home test kit?

Your testing kit contains a Scan4Air Aldehydes sensor with a reagent, DNPH, which reacts upon contact with an aldehyde or ketone and absorbs the pollutants in the air. It is specifically designed for collecting indoor air samples.

The Scan4Air sensor should be placed in a room in your home and exposed to indoor air for a period of 7 days.

Once the 7 days have elapsed, send your air sample to the laboratory for analysis.

How do I send in my indoor air sample?

Once you have finished collecting your indoor air sample, send it together with the completed collection form to the laboratory for analysis. Use the prepaid return envelope (Mainland France only) provided in your kit to send it. All you have to do is drop the envelope in a mailbox.

How long does it take to receive the results?

Your sample will be analyzed within a few days of its arrival at the laboratory. Once the results have been interpreted, our team of indoor air quality experts will prepare your personalized analysis report.

The analysis report will be emailed to you within 15 business days of your sample’s arrival at the laboratory.

Do you need to conduct indoor air quality tests in several rooms of your home or office?

Indoor air quality issues can vary from room to room. It is recommended to prioritize indoor air quality testing in the main living areas—specifically in the places where we spend the most time, such as bedrooms, children’s rooms, the living room, and the home office.
