Test kit with a PTS wristband to measure your personal exposure to the most common pesticides (insecticides, herbicides, fungicides) found in our everyday environment.

The PTS bracelet is made of a high-tech material with unique adsorbent properties that capture the pollution you are exposed to.

Pesticides are also widely used substances, particularly in agriculture (plant protection products or phytopharmaceuticals) but also for household purposes (biocides). They are designed to kill (suffix -cide) organisms considered undesirable: insecticides against insects, herbicides against plants, and fungicides against fungi and molds.

Our exposure to these toxic substances can affect our health, and measuring our exposure to pesticides is crucial for prevention.

Your PTS Pesticides Test Kit contains

  • A PTS wristband in a protective metal box (Please keep this box to send your sample to the lab).
  • A sample collection form to return to the lab along with your PTS bracelet.
  • A prepaid envelope (for mainland France) to send your PTS bracelet to the lab.
  • An analysis of your PTS wristband by experts in our state-of-the-art lab.
  • A comprehensive report on your exposure to endocrine disruptors, including exposure level indicators.
  • A guide to identifying sources of pollution and reducing your daily exposure to endocrine disruptors.

What is your PTS wristband used for?

Your PTS (Personal Toxic Sampler) wristband is made of a material that very effectively adsorbs chemicals. When worn as a wristband, it captures environmental pollutants, and laboratory analysis will allow you to identify the toxic substances to which you are exposed in your daily life.

How long should I wear the PTS wristband?

Your PTS wristband must be worn continuously, 24 hours a day for 7 days, to accurately reflect your environment under your normal daily conditions: while showering, exercising, going out, working, etc. It is essential that you go about your daily life as usual during this period.

What is a pesticide?

Pesticides are chemicals designed to kill (suffix -cide) living organisms considered undesirable: insecticides against insects, herbicides against plants, and fungicides against fungi and molds.

They are then classified according to their chemical family: organochlorines, organophosphates, pyrethroids, carbamates, azoles, triazines...

Who is most vulnerable to pesticides?

Since pesticides are, by definition, toxic, we are all vulnerable to them.

Exposure to pesticides among pregnant women is of particular concern because these chemicals can affect the embryo and fetus and impair the mental and physical development of the unborn child.

Children are more susceptible to pesticides because their immune systems and bodies are still developing.

People with neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease are more sensitive to the effects of insecticides.

Toxicological studies show that pesticides can be carcinogenic, toxic to reproduction, neurotoxic, and can disrupt the body's hormonal function (endocrine disruptors).

What chemicals are tested for in your PTS wristband?

The laboratory analysis focuses on a selection of common pesticides used in both agricultural and household settings.

The complete list of pesticides tested for in your PTS wristband is available in the "Pesticide List" tab

How long does it take to receive the test results?

It typically takes 10 to 15 business days from the date the laboratory receives your PTS bracelet to receive your test report. Your report will be emailed to the address listed on the sample collection form.

What does your analysis report include?

Your analysis report contains a list of all the pesticides identified during the analysis of your PTS wristband, along with exposure level indicators and information on their toxicity. Additional information on the main sources of neurotoxic substances and ways to reduce exposure to them is available in an online guide.
